Stay proficient with your knot tying ability: Keep a loop of cord and webbing next to your toilet and near the TV. Instead of reading the paper when visiting the bathroom, grab a 30” piece of cord or webbing and blast through a few knots! During those comercials grab that rope and pratice some more. Remembering how to tie each knot properly is incredibly important. It is also important to be able to tie each knot efficiently. In all cases of Time & Risk Management effectiveness goes hand in hand with efficiency. Being able to tie accurate loops the first time that measure out to the desired length, having control over how long the tails of each knot are once tied and being able to “dress out” each different type knot will aid in your ability to quickly build and visually inspect a wide variety of systems.
